Keith Ellison’s MAS Hate Affair
By Joe Kaufman
FrontPageMagazine.com | Friday, May 30, 2008

After being outed for speaking in front of an organization, the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society (MAS-Minnesota) – as the group was calling for the murder of Jews and the waging of war against non-Muslims – United States Representative Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) has gone back for a repeat performance. Yet, while Congressman Ellison continues his outrageous conduct, he still gets rewarded with invites to sit on Congressional entities highly inappropriate for someone such as himself. Why?

For well over five years, since at least December of 2002, MAS-Minnesota propagated hatred on its website aimed at Jews and Christians. Up until recently, when the pages containing the offending material were removed, the following quotes could be found on the site:

• “The Holy Prophet (and through him the Muslims) has been reassured that he should not mind the enmity, the evil designs and the machinations of the Jews…”
• “In view of the degenerate moral condition of the Jews and the Christians, the Believers have been warned not to make them their friends and confidants.”
• “If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them.”
• “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'”
• “May Allah destroy the Jews, because they used the graves of their prophets as places of worship.”

As well, there were quotes calling for violence in the name of Islam and praising terrorist organizations. They included:
• “A Muslim must always worship Allah and wage jihad until death in order to reach his ultimate goal… Regularly make the intention to go on jihad with the ambition to die as a martyr.”
• “The [Islamic] revolution… has been crystallized in the steadfast, brave, aware Islamic resistance movement ‘Hamas’… Hamas is an embodiment of the Palestinian People’s belief in its Muslim and Arab origins, and a testimony that this people is still alive and will never die and that its jihad will be carried on by pure hands and clean hearts until victory is achieved with the will of Allah.”
• “Western secularism moved into a Muslim world already estranged from its Qur’anic roots, and delayed its advancement for centuries, and will continue to do so until we drive it from our lands. Moreover, we will not stop at this point, but will pursue this evil force to its own lands, invade its Western heartland, and struggle to overcome it until all the world shouts by the name of the Prophet and the teachings of Islam spread throughout the world.”

All of the above statements were located on the MAS-Minnesota website, when U.S. Representative Keith Ellison gave the keynote address at the group’s 4th Annual Convention, in May of 2007. This fact was pointed out by this author on a number of occasions. Never once has the Congressman ever condemned the statements or MAS-Minnesota for placing them on its site. Instead, he has elected to remain silent about the issue. But that makes sense, considering the fact that he just spoke in front of the group yet again.

This month, from May 23-24, MAS-Minnesota held its 5th Annual Convention, entitled ‘Islam: Faith & Life… Continuing the Good Work.’ One of the speakers for the event was “unindicted co-conspirator” of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, Siraj Wahhaj. Giving the keynote address, as he did last year, was Ellison. This information was found on the homepage of MAS-Minnesota’s site, but like the group’s hate quotes, it was removed.

Co-sponsoring this year’s event was Islamic Relief (IR), a group that Israel has labeled a front for Hamas. On the flyer for the convention, next to the IR logo is an image of the state of Israel dressed to look like a blood red rose, the head of the stem resembling a green hand flashing the Palestinian “victory” sign, whilst clutching onto a rock-shaped petal.

Representative Ellison’s attendance at these two MAS conventions is not a fluke. Ellison has participated in a large number of other radical Islamist events, including functions for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).
Knowing the above, one would have to wonder how it could be possible for someone such as Ellison to be appointed to Congressional forums against anti-Semitism and against terrorism, but that is just what has happened.
The Congressional Task Force on Anti-Semitism (CTFAS), founded by the now deceased Representative Tom Lantos, had not formally gotten off the ground yet – it still hasn’t – but one of the first things the group did was to appoint Keith Ellison as a member. Its creation was announced on July 31, 2007. Ellison joined the group 19 days later, on August 19.
On February 12, 2008, this author and the group he chairs, Americans Against Hate, took a delegation to meet with United States Representative Ron Klein (D-Florida) to discuss this matter with him. Representative Klein co-chairs CTFAS with Mike Pence (R-Indiana).
We sought to convince Klein to remove Ellison from the group. We showed the Congressman a number of documents proving our point, including screenshots of the offending MAS-Minnesota web pages and the program from the November 2008 North American Imams Federation (NAIF) conference, where Ellison had spoken, featuring Ellison’s image directly next to that of Siraj Wahhaj (mentioned earlier) and Al-Qaeda web designer, Mazen Mokhtar.
Unfortunately, even after viewing such overwhelming evidence, Representative Klein refused to remove Ellison from the task force. And the task force is not the only group he should be removed from.
On January 30, 2007, six months prior to the establishment of CTFAS, Representative Sue Myrick (R-North Carolina), along with Representatives Bud Cramer (D-Alabama), Kay Granger (R-Texas), and Ben Chandler (D-Kentucky) announced that they had formed a new bipartisan Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus. It was heralded as a breakthrough, as it showed that members of Congress were finally beginning to recognize the problem – finally they were beginning to “get it.”
However, when viewing the ‘Congressional Caucus Memberships’ page on the government website of Representative Ellison, one finds out that Ellison, as well, sits on the anti-terror caucus, a group that many hoped would target organizations Ellison is affiliated with.
According to Myrick’s office, caucus members “attend meetings where experts give presentations regarding terrorism and jihadist ideology.” But how effective could it be, if the group allows a “jihadist” like Ellison to join, essentially giving him cover to continue his egregious activities?
This month, Cairo, Egypt’s Al-Ahram Weekly reported on a video conference taking place in Washington, D.C., featuring Ellison, which the publication sat in on. There, Ellison discussed what he felt was the need for American Muslims to gain political power, an “Arab-Muslim lobby,” so that they could push for things they felt of importance to them, such as pro-Palestinian issues.
Ellison, later, was asked about American Muslim non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and their effectiveness. He stated, “[A] lot of these NGOs are really doing a good job, but they still have a lot of work to do, like the Islamic Society of North America, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, and the Muslim American Society. But we still need more people to get involved and more groups starting up.”
Representative Keith Ellison’s Islamist connections make him a danger to America. If Keith Ellison gets his wish, radical Muslims will, one day, be able to move their extremist agenda forward. If you ask him, that agenda is one of peaceful coexistence. If you ask this author, that agenda is Hamas and the destruction of the United States as we know it.
Keith Ellison’s continued presence on Congressional groups based on fighting anti-Semitism and terrorism makes a mockery of those groups. It subverts those groups’ stated goals, and it renders them virtually useless. To preserve the integrity and effectiveness of the organizations, he should be removed from them immediately.

Rancid Fanatic is Featured Campus Speaker for the Muslim Students Association

Why are we allowing this GARBAGE to remain on our college campuses and in our country?? Are we idiots?? I can’t even comprehend why we would let people who openly declare that they want to destoy us have an open forum to promote their hatred and convert others!! It’s just outrageous!!

Rancid Fanatic is Featured Campus Speaker for the Muslim Students Association
By John Perazzo
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, May 29, 2008

If an organization stood accused of supporting a fanatical religious movement that seeks to create a global empire wherein women are oppressed, homosexuals are executed, and all faiths other than Islam are expressly outlawed, would that group try to discredit such accusations by providing a public forum for an individual who proudly and vocally embraces precisely those ideals? Yes, if that organization was the Muslim Students Association (MSA), which recently commissioned a religious bigot and apologist for terror named Sheikh Khalid Yasin to speak on its behalf.

During the first week of April, the MSA invited Yasin to appear at four college campuses — Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University, the University of Minnesota, and Washington State University — to rebut charges about the organization’s countenance of religious bigotry and Islamic terror. Those charges were featured prominently in Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week (IFAW), a national event organized by the David Horowitz Freedom Center’s Terrorism Awareness Project (TAP). Held in the fall of 2007 and again in the spring of 2008 on more than 100 college campuses nationwide, IFAW sought to familiarize students with radical Islam’s quest to conquer the world in the name of Allah, and to eviscerate its every perceived foe in the process. Moreover, TAP called on student groups like the MSA to condemn terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who exemplify Islam’s most extreme and dangerous faction.

It was thus revealing of the MSA’s political agenda that it refused to do so. Instead, the MSA depicted IFAW (falsely) as an exercise in anti-Muslim bigotry and disinformation. Numerous MSA campus chapters organized their own “Islamic Awareness Week” programs, which professed to “oppose Islamophobia,” and “raise awareness and remove misconceptions about Islam and … reduce the suspicion, discrimination, racism and violence that sometimes result.”

But in choosing Sheikh Khalid Yasin as the featured speaker to correct these alleged “misconceptions,” the MSA merely ended up confirming their accuracy.
Who is Sheikh Yasin? Even a cursory review of his public pronouncements reveals him to be an America-hating religious extremist who candidly justifies Islamic terrorism against the West. Along these lines, he has declared that the 2002 and 2005 terrorist bombings in Bali were reasonable responses to years of Western transgressions. Of the 9/11 attacks, he maintains that they were carried out not by al Qaeda but by the U.S. government. And, like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the sheikh also believes that a U.S. government lab created the AIDS virus specifically to kill black Americans.

Then there are his theological beliefs. In Yasin’s view, all the world’s nations should abandon their current forms of government and submit to the strict rule of Sharia (Islamic Law). No champion of interfaith harmony, Yasin holds that Muslims should not pollute their minds and spirits by taking non-Muslim friends. He dismisses the beliefs of Christians and Jews as “filth.” Stressing that the “delusion about the equality of women is a bunch of foolishness,” Yasin judges wife-beating acceptable because, after all, the Koran permits it. As for homosexuals, they may be executed consistent with Koranic mandates.

Strange as it may seem to many readers, the MSA considers the sheikh an ideal spokesman for Islam. As Washington State University’s MSA vice president Naima Abshir gushed in April 2008, Yasin “is able to touch upon all areas of the spectrum and discuss Islam as a way of life and depict its reality.”
To understand the MSA’s fondness for Sheikh Yasin, it is instructive to consider the MSA’s roots. This organization was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the ideological parent of Hamas and al Qaeda. In its earliest days the MSA was financed largely by Saudi Arabia. In return, the organization’s leaders advanced the Saudis’ extremist Wahhabi strain of Islam. According to Islam expert Stephen Schwartz, the MSA remains to this day a key lobbying organization for Wahhabism.

A May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum named the MSA as one of the Brotherhood’s likeminded “organizations of our friends” who shared the common goal of destroying America and turning it into a Muslim nation. These “friends” were described by the Brotherhood as groups that could help teach Muslims “that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”

The MSA chose not to endorse or participate in the May 14, 2005 “Free Muslims March Against Terror,” an event whose stated purpose was to “send a message to the terrorists and extremists that their days are numbered … [and to send] a message to the people of the Middle East, the Muslim world and all people who seek freedom, democracy and peaceful coexistence that we support them.”

The MSA has published a Starter’s Guide…on How to Run a Successful MSA, which states: “It should be the long-term goal of every MSA to Islamicize the politics of their respective university … the politicization of the MSA means to make the MSA more of a force on internal campus politics. The MSA needs to be a more ‘In-your-face’ association … For example, the student body must be convinced that there is such a thing as a Muslim-bloc.”

Noteworthy MSA events in recent years have included such spectacles as:

— a crowd of demonstrators at the Israeli consulate chanting “Death to Israel” and “Death to the Jews”

–an “Anti-Zionist Week” where MSA members raised money for Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists

–a guest speaker declaring that “[t]he only relationship you should have with America is to topple it”

–a featured speaker who had proudly and publicly referred to himself as “a supporter of the Hamas movement”

–a fundraiser for Islamic Relief Worldwide, an organization that received a $50,000 contribution from a pro-Osama bin Laden front group based in Canada

–a guest panelist who previously had extolled an Islamic suicide bomber as a “martyr” whose actions constituted “one of the greatest good deeds, which is jihad”

–praise for the “uncompromising” positions of Hamas and Hezbollah

–praise for the terrorist leader Muqtada al-Sadr’s “legitimat[e]” fight against the U.S. “occupation” in Iraq

–a declaration that “the only solution to the current [Israeli] occupation [of Palestine] is military resistance,  not shaking hands, not dialogue”

–and a call “to make sure that our MSAs are part of the global Islamic movement.”

In short, the MSA is not an innocent student group dedicated merely to fostering better relations with non-Muslims. It is an intensely political organization that has long promoted an ideology of Islamic supremacy and religious bigotry. Sheikh Khalid Yasin is part of that Islamo-fascist tradition. Small wonder that he has found such a staunch ally in the MSA.

US Anti-Semitic Professor Denied Entry to Israel

Posted on May 29, 2008. Filed under: Israel, Liberal Idiots |

He got exactly what he deserved!! Too bad the US doesn’t have the guts that Israel does.

US Professor Denied Entry to Israel

American political scientist and fierce critic of Israel, Prof. Norman Finkelstein, was denied entry to Israel and deported from the country early Saturday morning. Officials said that the decision to deport Finkelstein was connected to his anti-Zionist opinions and fierce public criticism of Israel around the world.
Finkelstein landed at Ben-Gurion International Airport at 2 a.m. Friday morning and was immediately taken for questioning by the Immigration Authority and the Interior Ministry. He arrived in Israel from Europe, where he was on a speaking tour. According to his Web site, his last talk was at the University of Amsterdam.
His lawyer, Michael Sfarad, said he was interrogated for several hours and told that he would not be allowed into the country on security grounds. He was held overnight and forced to board a flight to Europe early Saturday morning.
Sfarad said that Finkelstein arrived in Israel on a private trip to visit a friend. He said it was possible that the American professor, who last visited Israel two years ago, would appeal the decision.
A son of Holocaust survivors and a harsh critic of Israel, Finkelstein was denied tenure last year at DePaul University in Chicago.
Finkelstein reportedly said that Israel uses the Holocaust as an excuse for the fight against anti-Semitism and has managed to trick Germany into paying exorbitant sums of money in compensation. He also called Holocaust survivor and scholar Eli Wiesel a “clown prince.”
Prof. Alan Dershowitz of Harvard was active in campaigning against Finkelstein. His most recent book, Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History, is largely an attack on Dershowitz’s The Case for Israel. In his book, Finkelstein argues that Israel uses the outcry over perceived anti-Semitism as a weapon to stifle criticism.

Bottom Line: Obama is a LIAR!

Okay, let’s just finally face it, stop dancing around the issue and say it plainly – Obama is a liar!!

Obama’s military claims inconsistent with records
Speeches apparently contradict autobiography, Army documents

© 2008 WorldNetDaily

Two days after a speech in which Sen. Barack Obama erroneously claimed his uncle helped liberate the Auschwitz concentration camp, inconsistencies remain regarding the much-touted military service of the presidential candidate’s family.
During the Memorial Day speech in New Mexico, Obama suggested his grandfather, the late Stanley Dunham, engaged in combat. But the Democratic senator’s autobiography says his grandfather never saw “real combat.” Also, Army records apparently contradict Obama’s claim his grandfather signed up the day after the Pearl Harbor attack.
As WND reported, Obama told the New Mexico audience, which included military veterans, his uncle was part of the division that freed Auschwitz. But bloggers and the Republican National Committee immediately pointed out the Nazi death camp was liberated by the Soviet Union in January 1945. The campaign later said it actually was Obama’s great uncle who helped liberate Ohrdruf, a sub-camp of the Buchenwald Nazi concentration camp.
Obama several times has suggested his grandfather served in combat.
During Monday’s speech, Obama said: “My grandfather marched in Patton’s Army, but I cannot know what it is to walk into battle like so many of you.”
In a 2002 anti-war speech, Obama told the audience, “My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton’s army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.”
But in his autobiography, “Dreams of My Father,” Obama states his grandfather never engaged in combat.
“Gramps returned from the war never having seen real combat, and the family moved to California, where he enrolled at Berkeley under the GI bill,” he writes. “But the classroom couldn’t contain his ambitions, his restlessness, and so the family moved again.”
Obama’s 2002 claim his grandfather enlisted in the Army the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor is contradicted by Army records showing Dunham signed up June 18, 1942 – six months after Pearl Harbor.

Also, I thought churches weren’t supposed to support a specific candidate??? I guess they get to break any rules they want.

Hillary believed she’d win ’cause she’s white’
In Trinity sermon, Obama spiritual adviser says Clinton thought ‘black man stealing my show’

JERUSALEM – Recognizing her inevitable loss, Sen. Hillary Clinton cried in public because she thought being white entitled her to the Democratic presidential nomination, declared a close associate and spiritual adviser of Sen. Barack Obama at the Illinois senator’s Chicago church.
Chicago Catholic pastor Michael Pfleger, speaking Sunday at Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ, implied Clinton was a white supremacist who believed she would win the nomination because of “white entitlement.”
Pfleger, who practices black liberation theology, is a regular guest speaker at Trinity church. He was introduced at Sunday’s sermon by Obama’s new pastor, Rev. Otis Moss III, who called Pfleger a “brother beloved, he is a preacher par-excellence, he is a prophetic powerful pulpiteer.”
After Pfleger’s remarks about Clinton, Moss thanked Pfleger repeatedly.
Pfleger told the Trinity congregation, “We must be honest enough to expose white entitlement and supremacy wherever it raises its head.”

He continued:

“Reverand Moss, when Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really don’t believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always thought, ‘This is mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white. And this is mine. I just got to get up and step into the plate.’
“And then out of nowhere came, hey, I’m Barack Obama. And she said, ‘Oh damn, where did you come from? I’m white. I’m entitled. There’s a black man stealing my show.'”

Pfleger then mimicked Clinton crying as the audience erupted into applause and gave Pfleger’s remarks a standing ovation. Clinton has become emotional during several interviews this year, and some media commentators have questioned her sincerity.
In his sermon, Pfleger added, “She wasn’t the only one crying. There was a whole lot of white people cryin’.”
Apparently realizing his remarks might attract media attention, Pfleger stated, “I’m sorry. I don’t want to get you into any more trouble.”
Moss then took the stage, stating, “We thank God for the message, and we thank God for the messenger. We thank God for Father Michael Pfleger. We thank God for Father Mike.”
Moss assumed the leadership of Trinity earlier this month following the retirement of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose controversial sermons have raised questions about Obama’s judgment and beliefs.
Obama has said in media interviews he will retain his membership in Trinity under Moss, whom he lauded as a “wonderful young pastor.”
Pfleger is a regular guest lecturer at Trinity and has been featured a number of times in Wright’s Trumpet magazine, which drew some media attention after it honored controversial Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan.
Obama has appeared on at least three Trumpet covers and last year gave an exclusive interview to the magazine. Obama’s wife, Michelle, also recently talked with Trumpet.
Pfleger, an early supporter of Obama who leads a mostly black Chicago parish, has hosted Farrakhan a number of times, drawing the ire of the Catholic Church. The June/July 2007 issue of Wright’s Trumpet magazine describes Pfleger as “Afrocentric to the core.”
Obama identified Pfleger in a 2004 interview with the Chicago Sun-Times as a key source of spiritual guidance. The Sun-Times piece, which was among the first in which Obama outlined his faith, includes quotes from Pfleger praising Obama.
“Faith is key to his life, no question about it,” Pfleger told the Sun-Times. “It is central to who he is, and not just in his work in the political field, but as a man, as a black man, as a husband, as a father. … I don’t think he could easily divorce his faith from who he is.”
Pfleger’s highly political remarks last week are unusual for him.
Wright’s Trumpet magazine reported last year Pfleger “manages to weave into the midday homily at Trinity … his deep and abiding dislike for President George W. Bush. And with this mostly African-American congregation, Pfleger is in good company.”
According to a profile of Pfleger in Trumpet, the pastor “counts the mighty as close confidants and friends,” specifically Wright, Farrakhan and Obama.
Earlier in Pfleger’s Trinity church sermon, he argued for slavery reparations.
“Honestly now, to address the one who says, ‘Don’t hold me responsible for what my ancestors did.’ But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your ancestors did … and unless you are ready to give up the benefits, throw away your 401 fund, throw away your trust fund, throw away all the monies you put away into the company you walked into because your daddy and grand daddy. …”
Shouting, Pfleger continued, “Unless you are willing to give up the benefits then you must be responsible for what was done in your generation, because you are the beneficiaries of this insurance policy.”

Iran Arrests Suspected Converts to Christianity

Posted on May 29, 2008. Filed under: Iran, Terrorism |

This is the country that Cindy Sheehan says is better and more free than America, and this is  the leader that was allowed to speak at Columbia. Disgusting!! I guess Columbia likes murderers and terrorists.

REPORT: IRAN ARRESTS SUSPECTED CONVERTS TO CHRISTIANITY
Thursday, May 29, 2008
By Joseph Abrams
Fox News

Amid a growing crackdown on religious freedom, Iranian police reportedly have been rounding up people they suspect have converted to Christianity.
On May 11, police arrested eight people in the southern city of Shiraz, according to Carl Moeller, president of Open Doors USA, a Christian organization that fights religious persecution.
Converting from Islam is a crime in Iran; converts can face jail and other penalties.
Most of those detained have been released, but at least one of them, 21-year-old Mojtaba Hussein, is still behind bars and is not cooperating with his captors, according to Moeller.
“He may not be willing to give up the names of other Muslim converts. He may not be willing to recant his faith himself,” Moeller said.
Numerous calls to Iranian government representatives in the U.S. have not been returned.
Though they are protected under the Iranian constitution, Christians are not given the same freedoms as other citizens in Iran. Christians can’t worship freely or hold public office, and they can be arrested for even speaking to Muslims about Christianity.
“Such people are persecuted, and particularly in the 1990s such converts were killed – it’s thought by government agents,” said Paul Marshall, a senior fellow at the Center for Religious Freedom at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank.
Under the watchful eye of the Iranian government, many have been forced to worship in secret and are moving underground into what are called house churches -although some sects, such as Armenians and Syrians, have been allowed to worship in churches.
“With [Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad as president, the Iranians are intensifying the religious dimension of their rule,” Marshall said. “The concern about the religious purity of the regime has become stronger in the last two or three years.”
Earlier this year, Ahmadinejad proposed a law that would impose a death sentence for any Muslim who converts to another religion. Under current laws, those charged with converting can be prosecuted and face jail time for vague crimes like “blasphemy” and “insulting Islam.”
Marshall said these restrictive policies may be creating a backlash among Muslims. “There are indications that with the deep unpopularity of the regime that people are turning away from Islam,” he said.
“Seeing Muslims converting to Christianity is directly threatening to an Islamic regime,” said Moeller.
He compared these small groups of converts to early Christians living under the yoke of the Roman Empire, who met in secret and whose beliefs were “dependent on dreams, visions, signs and wonders.”
Because Bibles are rare in Iran and teachings are not “as dependent on the Bible as Evangelical Christianity in America is,” said Moeller, there is a “real lack of scriptural foundation.”
But despite the growing pressure from the state, worshippers continue to practice, and Moeller said the house church system seems to be growing.
“We’ve got confirmed reports of groups of Muslim convert believers doubling in size in the last six months,” he said.

Obama: A One-Man Gaffe Machine (Worse than Dan Quayle)

Posted on May 27, 2008. Filed under: Liberal Idiots, Media Bias, Politicians, Politics |

Obama keeps lying, exaggerating, and making gaffe after gaffe, and the media just lets it go!!!! Dan Quayle would never have gotten by with even ONE of these mistakes, much less the whole list of them. And you can bet McCain won’t get a free pass. I want Obama held to the same standard. He seems to exaggerate quite a bit and will make things up if it makes his story better. Check out this article for some of his ‘mistakes’. I truly believe this man is not fit to be President. I don’t think he has enough experience or smarts for the job.

Barack Potatoe Obama?
By Brent Bozell III
Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Imagine that John McCain named a young running mate to campaign with him, and this national rookie suggested America had 58 states, repeatedly used the wrong names for the cities he was visiting, and honored a Memorial Day crowd by acknowledging the “fallen heroes” who were present, somehow alive and standing in the audience. How long would it take for the national media to see another Dan Quayle caricature? Let’s raise the stakes. What if it was the GOP presidential candidate making these thoroughly ridiculous comments? This scenario is very real, except it isn’t McCain. It’s the other fellow.
ABC reporter Jake Tapper follows politicians around for a living. On his blog, he suggested Barack Obama has a problem: “The man has been a one-man gaffe machine.”

Just in the last few days, in Sunrise, Fla., Obama said, “How’s it going, Sunshine?” He did the same thing in Sioux Falls, S.D., calling it “Sioux City.” Some of his geographic struggles seem calculated. When asked why Hillary Clinton trounced him in Kentucky, Obama claimed “I’m not very well known in that part of the country … Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it’s not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle.” But Obama’s home state of Illinois is more than “near” Kentucky — it borders Kentucky.
In Oregon, there was a doozy. Obama said of his long campaign, “I’ve been in 57 states, I think, one left to go.” No one in the press made much of this. As former ABC political reporter Marc Ambinder, now with the Atlantic Monthly magazine, admitted: “But if John McCain did this — if he mistakenly said he’d visited 57 states — the media would be all up in his grill, accusing him of a senior moment.” If you doubt him, remember how most media outlets noted, then underlined McCain’s error about al-Qaeda being trained and funded by Iran.
In New Mexico, Obama suggested he was like a young Haley Joel Osment in “The Sixth Sense,” with the ability to see dead people: “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.” Fallen heroes in the audience? Is this Barack Potatoe Obama? This is precisely the kind of misstatement that Dan Quayle-bashers would run ad infinitum.
But there have also been gaffes on more serious matters. ABC found that campaigning in Rush Limbaugh’s hometown of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Obama argued that our military’s Arabic translators in Iraq are needed in Afghanistan: “We only have a certain number of them and if they are all in Iraq, then it’s harder for us to use them in Afghanistan,” he claimed. But Afghans don’t speak Arabic; they speak several other languages. That’s a lot like McCain’s gaffe — except for the degree of media attention, which in the Democrat’s case was virtually nonexistent.
McCain also would have enjoyed more media focus on Obama’s completely muddled analysis of South America last week. He told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday that he would meet with Chavez to discuss “the fermentation of anti-American sentiment in Latin America, his support of FARC in Colombia and other issues he would want to talk about.” But on Friday in Miami, he insisted any country supporting the Marxist guerrillas of FARC should suffer “regional isolation.” This left Obama advisers scrambling to suggest that these two opposing statements can somehow be put together, that he can meet Chavez and isolate him at the same time.
Sometimes, Obama invents Bosnia-sniper-style whoppers about his personal history. In Selma, Ala., Obama claimed that the spirit of hope derived from the civil rights protests in Selma in 1965 inspired his birth — when he was born in 1961. He also has inaccurately claimed that the Kennedys funded his Kenyan father’s trip to America in 1959.
While he was making boo-boos in New Mexico on Memorial Day, Obama also (according to CBS reporter/blogger Maria Gavrilovic) talked about post-traumatic stress disorder by claiming he had an uncle “who was part of the American brigade that helped to liberate Auschwitz,” and then came home and spent six months in an attic. Gavrilovic didn’t note that the prisoners at Auschwitz were liberated by the Red Army. Obama earlier made the claim on his campaign site that his grandfather knew American troops who liberated Auschwitz and Treblinka (also liberated by the Red Army).
Everyone should grant these candidates a little room for error in the long slog of presidential campaigning. But what about some balance? The same national media that turned Dan Quayle’s name into an instant joke are now working over time to present Obama as Captain Competent.

More Demands from Islam – The Tale of 2 Videos

Posted on May 27, 2008. Filed under: Education Idiocy, Muslim Invasion, Religion, Terrorism |

WATCH THESE 2 VIDEOS

The 1st video is by a British man. It is a very interesting video – truthful and witty at the same time. It warns us that what is happening in Britain will happen here in America if we keep on our current course. The 2nd video shows us that we are definitely on the wrong course and need to stop it ASAP!! The  2nd video is of the board meeting in Virginia when they are trying to decide if they are going to renew a Saudi Islamic school’s lease of county property. I posted an article about it yesterday, so go back and read the article if you want more info on it.

1st VIDEO:

Excerpt from ‘Lone Survivor’

Posted on May 26, 2008. Filed under: Heroes, Media Bias, Military, Politics, Terrorism |

I really, really, really, really, really want you to read the following excerpt from the book Lone Survivor. The one survivor of this incident wrote the book. It honestly made me cry AND it made me angry at those who would criticize our military.

This shows the reality of what our fighting men have to face and the decisions they have to make in a split second. It’s easy for people back home to say what they “should have done”, but it’s heart-wrenching to hear about what they actually have to face.

The idea that these men felt they had to make a decision based on how the media would spin it is awful, and even more awful is the fact that all but one lost their lives because of the decision they made. They didn’t want to be labeled murderers by the media just for doing their jobs, so they let these goatherders go free, which resulted in these SEALs’ deaths.

The blood of these men is on the hands of the liberal media and every liberal who is spinning this war and making our men second-guess their every decsion.

Excerpt from ‘Lone Survivor’

By Mark Luttrell

It was almost noon on June 28, 2005, when three Afghan goatherds stumbled upon a four-man Navy SEAL reconnaissance team high in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan. The SEALs – Lt. Michael Murphy, Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Matthew Axelson, Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Danny Dietz and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Marcus Luttrell – faced an agonizing decision …

The question was, what did we do now? They were very obviously goatherds, farmers from the high country. Or, as it states in the pages of the Geneva Convention, unarmed civilians.

The strictly correct military decision would still be to kill them without further discussion, because we could not know their intentions.

How could we know if they were affiliated with a Taliban militia group or sworn by some tribal blood pact to inform the Taliban leaders of anything suspicious-looking they found in the mountains?

Mike Murphy said quietly, “We’ve got three options. We plainly don’t want to shoot these guys because of the noise. So, number one, we could just kill them quietly and hurl the bodies over the edge. That’s probably a thousand-foot drop. Number two is we kill them right here, cover ’em up as best we can with rocks and dirt.

“Either way we get the hell out and say nothing. Not even when the story comes out about the murdered Afghan goatherds. And some f—ing headline back home which reads, ‘Navy SEALs Under Suspicion.’

“Number three, we turn ’em loose, and still get the hell out, in case the Taliban come looking.” …

Axe said firmly, “We’re not murderers. No matter what we do.

“We’re on active duty behind enemy lines, sent here by our senior commanders. We have a right to do everything we can to save our own lives. The military decision is obvious. To turn them loose would be wrong.”

If this came to a vote, as it might, Axe was going to recommend the execution of the three Afghans. And in my soul, I knew he was right. We could not possibly turn them loose. But my trouble is, I have another soul. My Christian soul. And it was crowding in on me. Something kept whispering in the back of my mind, it would be wrong to execute these unarmed men in cold blood. And the idea of doing that and then covering our tracks and slinking away like criminals, denying everything, would make it more wrong.

To be honest, I’d have been happier to stand ’em up and shoot them right out in front. And then leave them. They’d just be three guys who’d found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Casualties of war. And we’d just have to defend ourselves when our own media and politicians back in the U.S.A. tried to hang us on a murder charge.

Lieutenant Murphy said, “Axe?”

“No choice.” We all knew what he meant.

“Danny?”

“As before. I don’t give a sh– what you decide. Just tell me what to do.”

“Marcus?”

“I don’t know, Mikey.”

“Well, let me tell you one more time. If we kill these guys we have to be straight about it. Report what we did. We can’t sneak around this. Just so you all understand, their bodies will be found, the Taliban will use it to the max. They’ll get it in the papers, and the U.S. liberal media will attack us without mercy. We will almost certainly be charged with murder. I don’t know how you guys feel about that … Marcus, I’ll go with you. Call it.” …

I looked Mikey right in the eye, and I said, “We gotta let ’em go.”

It was the stupidest, most southern-fried, lamebrained decision I ever made in my life. I must have been out of my mind.

I had actually cast a vote which I knew could sign our death warrant. I’d turned into a f—ing liberal, a half-assed, no-logic nitwit, all heart, no brain, and the judgment of a jackrabbit.

At least, that’s how I look back on those moments now. Probably not then, but for nearly every waking hour of my life since.

No night passes when I don’t wake in a cold sweat thinking of those moments on that mountain. I’ll never get over it. I cannot get over it. The deciding vote was mine, and it will haunt me till they rest me in an East Texas grave.

Mikey nodded. “Okay,” he said, “I guess that’s two votes to one, Danny abstains. We gotta let ’em go.”

After releasing the goatherds, the SEALs moved back up the mountain and took up defensive positions. But within two hours, a force of about 140 Taliban fighters was upon them. Battling desperately, the SEALs retreated downhill, trying for the flat ground where a village offered the opportunity of cover to make a stand. But Dietz didn’t make it, succumbing to a shot to the head – the sixth bullet he had taken in the fight. Murphy and Axelson had also been shot, but were still fighting hard when Luttrell reached their position …

Finally I caught up with them. Axe was out of ammunition and I gave him a new magazine. Mikey wanted to know where Danny was, and I had to tell him that Danny had died. He was appalled, completely shocked, and so was Axe. Although Mikey would not say it, I knew he wanted to go back for the body. But we both knew there was no time and no reason. We had nowhere to take the remains of a fallen teammate, and we could not continue this firefight while carrying around a body.

Danny was dead. And strangely, I was the first to pull myself together. I said suddenly, “I’ll tell you what. We have to get down this goddamned mountain or we’ll all be dead.”

And as if to make up our minds for us, the Taliban were again closing in, trying to make that 360-degree movement around us.

And they were doing it. Gunfire was coming in from underneath us now. We could see the tribesmen still swarming, and I tried to count them as I had been trying to do for almost an hour.

I thought there were now only about fifty, maybe sixty, but the bullets were still flying. The grenades were still coming in, blasting close, sending up dust clouds of smoke and dirt with flying bits of rock. There had never been a lull in the amount of ordnance the enemy was piling down on us.

Right now, again tucked low behind rocks, the three of us could look down and see the village one and a half miles distant, and it remained our objective.

Again I told Mikey, “If we can just make it down there and get some cover, we’ll take ’em all out on the flat ground.”

I knew we were not in great shape. But we were still SEALs.

Nothing can ever take that away. We were still confident. And we were never going to surrender. If it came down to it, we would fight to the death with our knives against their guns.

“F— surrender,” said Mikey. And he had no need to explain further, either to Axe or me. Surrender would have been a disgrace to our community, like ringing the bell at the edge of the grinder and putting your helmet in the line. No one who had made it through this far, to this no-man’s-land in the Afghan mountains, would have dreamed of giving up.

Remember the philosophy of the U.S. Navy SEALs: “I will never quit. … My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates. … I am never out of the fight.”

Those words have sustained many brave men down the years.

They were engraved upon the soul of every SEAL. And they were in the minds of all of us.

Mikey suddenly said, above the rage of the battle, “Remember, bro, we’re never out of it.”

I nodded tersely. “It’s only about another thousand yards to flat ground. If we can just get down there, we got a chance.” …

They’d knocked us back again. … But once more we landed up in a good spot, a sound defensive position, well protected by the rock face on either side. Again we tried to take the fight to them, picking our targets and driving them back, making some ground now toward the village.

They were up and screaming at us, yelling as the battle almost became close quarters. We yelled right back and kept firing. But there were still so many of them, and then they got into better position and shot Mikey Murphy through the chest.

He came toward me, asking if I could give him another magazine.

And then I saw Axe stumbling toward me, his head pushed out, blood running down his face, bubbling out of the most shocking head wound.

“They shot me, bro,” he said. “The bastards shot me. Can you help me, Marcus?” What could I say? What could I do? I couldn’t help except by trying to fight off the enemy. And Axe was standing right in my line of fire.

I tried to help him get down behind a rock. And I turned to Mikey, who was obviously badly hurt now. “Can you move, buddy?” I asked him.

And he groped in his pocket for his mobile phone, the one we had dared not use because it would betray our position. And then Lieutenant Murphy walked out into the open ground. He walked until he was more or less in the center, gunfire all around him, and he sat on a small rock and began punching in the numbers to HQ.

I could hear him talking. “My men are taking heavy fire … we’re getting picked apart. My guys are dying out here … we need help.”

And right then Mikey took a bullet straight in the back. I saw the blood spurt from his chest. He slumped forward, dropping his phone and his rifle. But then he braced himself, grabbed them both, sat upright again, and once more put the phone to his ear.

I heard him speak again. “Roger that, sir. Thank you.” Then he stood up and staggered out to our bad position, the one guarding our left, and Mikey just started fighting again, firing at the enemy.

He was hitting them too, having made that one last desperate call to base, the one that might yet save us if they could send help in time, before we were overwhelmed.

Only I knew what Mikey had done. He’d understood we had only one realistic chance, and that was to call in help. He also knew there was only one place from which he could possibly make that cell phone work: out in the open, away from the cliff walls.

Knowing the risk, understanding the danger, in the full knowledge the phone call could cost him his life, Lieutenant Michael Patrick Murphy, son of Maureen, fiance of the beautiful Heather, walked out into the firestorm.

His objective was clear: to make one last valiant attempt to save his two teammates. He made the call, made the connection.

He reported our approximate position, the strength of our enemy, and how serious the situation was. When they shot him, I thought mortally, he kept talking.

Roger that, sir. Thank you. Will those words ever dim in my memory, even if I live to be a hundred? Will I ever forget them? Would you? And was there ever a greater SEAL team commander, an officer who fought to the last and, as perhaps his dying move, risked everything to save his remaining men? I doubt there was ever anyone better than Mikey, cool under fire, always thinking, fearless about issuing the one-option command even if it was nearly impossible. And then the final, utterly heroic act. Not a gesture. An act of supreme valor. Lieutenant Mikey was a wonderful person and a very, very great SEAL officer.

If they build a memorial to him as high as the Empire State Building, it won’t ever be high enough for me.

Questions about Saudi Academy in Virginia

Posted on May 26, 2008. Filed under: Education Idiocy, Muslim Invasion, Religion, Terrorism |

We are idiots in this country if we allow this! Shut this school down!

Questions about Saudi academy in Virginia
Jim Brown – OneNewsNow – 5/26/2008 10:00:00 AM

Critics of a private Saudi academy renting a local government building in northern Virginia warn the school promotes a virulent form of Sunni Islam known as Wahhabism.

Fairfax County, Virginia, supervisors voted last week to continue leasing property to the Islamic Saudi Academy, despite concerns over the K-12 school’s past use of classroom material that promoted hatred against Jews and Christians. In October, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom issued a report harshly criticizing the Saudi educational system, and called on the State Department to shut down the Islamic Saudi Academy.

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says Saudi schools teach students that in order to safeguard Islam, they must “violently repress and even physically eliminate” non-Muslims.

“Remember that 15 out of the 19 [September 11, 2001, hijackers] were Saudi Arabian nationals,” she points out. “What did these men learn as students? They learned … from their textbooks, remember — that there is no peaceful coexistence with so-called ‘infidels.'”

Lafferty says students are taught that not only is peace unobtainable, but that violent jihad is an obligation. “And we are very troubled … that they refer to Christians and Jews as ‘apes’ and ‘swine,'” she notes.

Currently, Lafferty is pressing the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to release the findings of a translation it commissioned of the Arabic textbooks used at the Academy. She remains skeptical of the school’s claims that its curriculum is tolerant of all faiths and that offensive portions of their textbooks have been modified.
