I am a 55-year old red state girl living in an extremely blue state who just needs to rant and rave once in a while. I want to keep you informed on topics that affect you and our great country (and yes, it is GREAT!) and motivate you to action. I love God, I love America, I love our military for helping to keep us free and I have no patience for ungrateful, America-hating liberals who are doing everything in their power to destroy this country! By the way, on my site the term “Idget” means “Idiot” and I’m sure there will be a lot of them.

Are we related??? My for and against lists are identical to yours. We really need to stand up for ourselves. My daughter was banned from singing “My God is an Awesome God” for a talent show when she was in 1st grade BUT one of her classmates (a Bosnian refugee)sang a religious Muslim song – and that was ok?!?! Needless to say I pulled her oput of that racist environment (this is New Jersey by the way).

Laurel, I had a similar experience about 5 years ago. My daughter was in third grade and going to sing in a Christmas…oh wait, a holiday show at her school. Now, I am in the Army and she attended a DOD school on Fort Hood, Texas so I expected a mostly Christian Christmas style show. Instead there was not a single song that most would call a Christmas song. No Frosty, no Rudolf, no Here Comes Santa (see how those are NOT religion based songs but simply holiday songs?) or even Oh Holy Night, Little Drummer Boy, Deck the Halls, nothing. Nada. Instead we got Spin the Dreidel, a few songs on Kwanzaa, and a few other non-Christian or even Christmas songs. I was irate and caused a bit of a scene. Now when one of my daughters is in a band performance, piano, or choir, they and my wife know that prior to my arrival there better be a damn American Christmas song or someone will hear about it from me.
I do not give a crap about letting these other religions or holidays SHARE time with the holidays that 83% of Americans celebrate, but damn it, don’t tell me to shut up about mine and that my family or I have to participate in your holiday. Sure as hell don’t don’t make my white Christian daughter celebrate your Jewish, Muslim, or African holiday.

I’m still thinking of how to organize a blogring against Anti-Americanism. I’m thinking, thinking, and thinking……. I also am hoping that you don’t mind that I’m not a republican conservative. I am in the middle tilting to the liberal side of things. So, if you’re fine with that, we can move to the next step. Since we cannot use javascript, the only way to form a blogroll would be to use the del.icio.us widget. We could always do that for now, and then just try to find more people that are as passionately against Anti-Americanism.

having gone through some tough things in my life, i found the black and white lines i drew for years are pretty well all shades of gray at this point. we have a process in this country that allows us to periodically swing the pendulum back in the other direction once it’s swung too far another. i wish we had a better selection of presidential candidates – being from atlanta i like a lot of what bob barr has always stood for, but i think he’ll be painted as too right-wing. i threw my lot behind obama when sam nunn endorsed him, but i see him as the lesser of three – now, four – less-than-stellar potential nominees.
remember our fallen heroes this memorial day. pray that the insanity in iraq ends somehow.

The Hawaii judge tossed that suti citing lack of public interest – yikes!( Don’t get ME started) We need to flood them with letters before that Dec 5th conference. Hi, I saw your posting on Bridget’s blog… And I’m not politic minded, but I’m bible prophecy minded and I believe Obama’s victory on elections is just part of the script in what is quicly coming to pass in a worldwide scenario (politically, financially and why not religiously?) And believe this is going to get much worse! And it is not all Obama’s fault, the problem is global, the world’s finance system is about to colapse and this will affect every single human being. So, honestly I don’t believe it is too much we can do! But he won by 52% (if I’m not mistaking) meaning that there is a 48% out there that are not happy, wait a minute… I know people who voted to him, and got screwed on their taxes, so they are not happy neither, so who knows? That number can be higher than we can think… In my country we elected one president (a young one, no wonder!) he was shitting even more in our country, so we put him to run (impechment) and to respond some process… Well I know America is a great country and not sure if there is any openning in it’s constitutuion for impechman, if yes I’m in!

I had to speak out today! This very day-National Prayer Day has sealed my opinion of President Obama. America was not to be a nation free OF religion! Read our nation’s historical documents! The city buses here in Madison WI are sporting big ads from that group that heralds that idea! I can’t stand it any longer! If Abraham Lincoln (Barrack’s hero) could proclaim a Day of National Humiliation, Fasting & Prayer on April 30, 1863, you would think, George Bush or no George Bush, Barrack Obama would would not hide behind silence today. Bridget’s lists of what she supports and doesn’t support, are likewise my lists. We are asleep people….please WAKE UP! I am embarrassed that our President is not publically acknowledging that there just might be a bigger, smarter power out there that trumps all the wisdom he and the government might ever have even on their best day! You need to do some more of your research before you start spouting incorrect data. Cheney received the exact same deferments as your current ‘illustrious’ vice-president. Are we to question his as well? Interesting how he states himself how he had an active childhood and played football in high school, then right as he is about to finish college (and loose his S-2 classification) suddenly is found to have asthma when he was a teenager…no mention of it exists in his records prior to that point in April 1968…when he is 26 years old. Neat how that works, eh?
The nutcase who shot the security guard was a racist, and the fact that YOU point out that the guard was black, reaffirms that you yourself is as well. Why can he not be just a security guard?

Oh, I almost forgot Mr. Scott, in regards to the eight US attorneys that were “fired” by President Bush, you must know that US Attorneys, as part of the Executive Branch, work at the pleasure of the Chief Executive (that would be the President). I would refer you to the Wall Street Journal article of March 14, 2007, titled “The Hubbell Standard: Hillary Clinton knows all about sacking US Attorneys,” which documents that “… when Janet Reno, his nominal superior, simultaneously fired all 93 U.S. Attorneys in March 1993. Ms. Reno–or Mr. Hubbell–gave them 10 days to move out of their offices.” This was during your beloved President Bill “The Perjurer” Clinton’s early administration. The issues about the “torture” of prisoners (it’s a shame we can’t ask Nick Berg and Daniel Perl about real torture- they’re dead) by individuals who were not trained or supervised properly has been beaten to death and really doesn’t need or require a response. Nor does the tired and worn-out “Bush lied- people died” type of allegation regarding the doctoring of intelligence to get us into war. Everyone, from top to bottom in the Executive and Legislative Branches, had access to the same intelligence (from an agency run by a holdover from the Clinton administration, George Tenet) and the entire Legislative Branch (with the exception of that kook Sheila Jackson Lee) voted to support the President’s initiatives regarding both Iraq and Afghanistan. Please save your hostility, vitriole, and inch-deep thinking for your group hate sessions (Huffington Post, DailyKoz, etc.). Oh, and by the way, coarseness of language and profanity merely add further weight to the opinion of most that you brought a BB gun to a gunfight in the battle of ideas and thought. Mr. Scott, it’s hard to figure out where to start with the list of how many things you’ve gotten wrong in your post. Since you seem to have some issues with facts, I’ll use relatively small words that you might understand. I’m originally from North Carolina but have not lived there for over 25 years (I joined the US Army and am still in). I actually grew up with and graduated high school with Bridget, so know her quite well. What you read is what you get with her- nothing more and nothing less. Before the beatdown starts, I’ll thank you for your service. Whatever you did in the military, wherever you did it- thanks for serving. I couldn’t help but notice that your list of “wrongdoings” on the part of conservatives reads like an elementary primer for new liberals- or liberals who just can’t deal with reality. Whether you know it or not, the various states in the USA did not give up their sovereignty when they agreed to form the USA. Do a little research and you’ll find there is a very good Constitutional argument for an individual state’s right to secede. I would probably be on the first plane into Texas if it were to secede, if for no other reason than to alleviate me from having to deal with mental midgets like you. The “racist nutcase” that shot the security officer at the Holocaust Museum would have been hard-pressed to shoot a security officer who wasn’t African-American, since last time I visited there that was the only thing I saw (African-American security officers). The individual who did the shooting had a long history of anti-Semite sentiments and had done prison time for taking a gun into the Federal Reserve in DC. Valerie Plame was NEVER a CIA operative. She was a CIA employee whose work with them was actually disclosed by her publicity hungry husband, Mr. Wilson in a book. (And the administration source was not in Bush’s White House but was in fact Richard Armitage, who worked at the State Department for that RINO, Colin Powell, but I digress.) What other word or term would you use (referring now to “feminazis”) to describe the policies and attitudes of a group of women who see everything through the prism of one’s sex (female good, male bad) in everything they do? As far as the individuals you listed as hypocrites (Mark Foley, Mark Sanford, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, JC Watts, et al.), I am hard-pressed to find any of them (and I’m trying to figure out how Sarah Palin and JC Watts made it onto that list since I don’t know of any personal wrongdoing attributed to them in their official capacities) who did not apologize and then pay the price, both publicly and privately, for their wrongdoing. At least they said- “What I did was wrong.” (Again, with the exception of Palin and Watts.) President George W. Bush, in spite of Dan Rather’s efforts to prove otherwise, served honorably as a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard. I’m sure there were a lot of Guard and Reserved personnel who did not see time in Vietnam. As for Vice President Cheney, four of his deferments were for student status and his fifth was because his wife was pregnant. If you’d actually read the NY Times (not something I’d advise on a regular basis) article from 2004 about this issue, you see the statistic that out “of the 26.8 million men who were eligible for the draft between 1964 and 1973, only 2.2 million were drafted while 8.7 million joined voluntarily.” (“Chance and Circumstance: The Draft, the War, and the Vietnam Generation”, Lawrence M. Baskir and William A. Strauss, 1978) At least he did it legally, like the vast majority of the other 16 million men who avoided the draft. You cite Fox News and “right-wing radio” as the argument against media bias. Add these up- ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Reuters, AP, UPI, and numerous newspapers to include the aforementioned NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, etc. That’s anywhere from 9 to, well, let’s just call it an even 100. And then there is Fox News and “right-wing radio.” Some balance. Thank goodness for the advent of the internet and the ability of people like Bridget and others to bypass the traditional media outlets to put out information. I’d be real careful about throwing stones in glass houses if I were you. Last time I checked, New York isn’t exactly what I would call a bastion of ethical conduct on the part of its elected officials (Elliot Spitzer ring a bell?). Were it up to me, I would be more than happy to take you and the rest of the blue staters and set aside your own part of the country (sort of like New York is already!) so you can run it into the ground while the rest of us go about our business, living imperfect lives while trying to do better, and waiting for the inevitable cry for help from our liberal countrymen and women. You (and people like you) are not free thinkers- you’re herd thinkers. You willingly follow wherever the liberal leadership will take you and in this case, it’s straight to the slaughterhouse of liberty. I don’t want to live in a socialist country. I’ve lived in one and visited a lot more and I didn’t like I then and don’t like it now. And to think, I was able to do all this without talking points from anyone else or a teleprompter!

He said he preferred Hillary Clinton to win the presidency, and in a 2008 interview with Walt Mossberg, Murdoch was asked whether he had “anything to do with the New York Post’s endorsement of Barack Obama.” Without hesitating, Murdoch replied, “Yeah. He is a rock star. It’s fantastic. I love what he is saying about education. I don’t think he will win Florida… but he will win in Ohio and the election. I am anxious to meet him. I want to see if he will walk the walk.”
Granted, he tried to be “fair and balanced” by donating $2,300 to John McCain’s campaign — by the way, that’s 2.3 cents in “billionaire money”.

Why do all of you wing nuts think that leftists like myself hate America? Funny thing is I love my country but don’t mind standing up when it does something I don’t agree with. Also I do not vote for democrats or republicans I think we should have more than two real parties in this country. I did speak out against evil I spoke out against Bush and Cheney. Are you against the Christian agenda that christians are pushing on everyone? How about the Fox News Bias fair and balanced all the way to the right. A guy named Thomas Jefferson said that Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. You have a problem with that?

No Patrick, “we” (the “wing nuts”) don’t have a problem with honest, reasoned dissent. But when someone (could be you or my best friend growing up) begins ad hominem attacks against a person or group of persons without responding to the real questions being debated, then yes, “we” (you and people like me) have a problem. My “Christian agenda” (as you put it) is that I would love to see all people go to heaven and my job is to spread that “Christian agenda” (read the books of John and Romans in the Bible if you want to see that agenda). If you want to know why the “wing nuts” (I’ll wear that badge proudly as described by you) think that leftists like you hate America, it is because your ideas and principles are completely at odds with what has made this country great and have consistently proven (by your actions) that you do not have the best interests of this country at heart. I’m not necessarily a defender of Fox News (I think Rupert Murdoch is going to do whatever he must do to make money) but they are consistently the only one of the news networks that have both liberal AND conservative guests and commentators on their shows that reflect more than one side of thee issue being debated. Thomas Jefferson believed that all people should have an equal opportunity to succeed, not that government should force “equality” on all- that is tyranny in its basest form. And that is what he fought against, along with the original “radical right.” You better go study your talking points a little more, you’re boring.

I really admire all the work you put into your website. However, there is something that I would really love for you to clarify.
According to your about me section, you “stand AGAINST: Communism/Socialism.” Moreover, on April 7, 2009, you wrote a blog entry entitled “Obama Supports Socialism – More Proof!”
I admire a woman who stands up for what she believes in. However, why exactly are you quoting Albert Einstein on EVERY single page of your blog? Every link I click on your website, the first thing I see is that quote from Einstein.
Why would someone who stands against socialism quote one of the most famous socialists of all time?

Point taken, Joe. The reason I displayed the quote was because it summed up my feelings about dealing with evil so well. We have a lot of good men sitting around doing nothing and letting evil continue. But I really disagree with Einstein’s socialism views and I don’t want people getting mixed up about that so…I have deleted the quote. Thanks for your input.

Where have you been? Love your rant(s)on poor emasculated men and the Church! Have you ever correlated that with the drop on Church attendance. Surprisingly I agree with you that “Somewhere some man is not doing his job and therefore when men don’t do their jobs the women will”.
As one of those Women who has been stepping up to the plate for about fifty five years to do the jobs that Men should be doing but are not – that fact alone should give you pause about our whole culture and society. You realized that if you are in favor of personal liberty, then you cant really be against American Haters, anti-military folks, homosexual agenda because those things are part of personal liberty.
You cannot be in favor of Freedom of religion and then be against Radical Islam, because part of freedom of religion is the freedom to be radical.
you cannot be in favor of personal responsibility and then be against political correctness, because respecting others is part of personal responsability.

Hey, this is America; not some other country with bazzarre religous practices.
The religion of Islam seems to promote killing me and my kind. Therefore, I can damn well be against it. When militancy hides behind a religion, then it ceases to be a religion and becomes a cult.
And, hey, here’s a big difference. Most of the Judeo-Christians keep their religious practices to the confines of their private spaces and places of worship. The Muslims parade their religion in their dress and in their treatment of women, for all to see. Their culture is their religion. Our culture is not our religion.
If you’re a homosexual, fine. Just don’t flaunt it in my face because I’m not going to respect you. I don’t think homosexuality is an accomplishment. Nor do I think it should be punished. It certainly shouldn’t be encouraged in the schools.
Our language is English. Don’t expect me to have to understand someone who can’t speak English.
And, btw, if the U.S. border is crossed illegally, then the illegals don’t have any rights, except to have their asses shipped back where they came from, at their government’s expense.
If you hate America, then you hate me and everything I stand for. Don’t expect me to embrace you. And, if I catch you disrespecting our flag, I’m going to try to stop you, very publicly. That’s MY freedom of speech.

Really? “MILLIONS & MILLIONS & MILLIONS of FORMER Christians are NOW Atheists”? Since you used “millions” three times, you must know what you’re talking about. Do you have their names handy? Did you poll them?
And “Atheists give BILLIONS to others”? Do you have the stats on that? Actually, I do believe it. Groups like the ACLU, the Clinton campaign, the Obama campaign, gay and lesbian groups, and other anti-religious, anti-conservative groups don’t count, BTW.
There are plenty of atheists-turned Christian, including Frank Pastore, a radio talk show host on KKLA-FM in Southern California, and my brother, a former Liberal hippie who spent half of his life high. I won’t pretend to know how many others.
And guess what? There’s NO PROOF that there ISN’T a God.
No one ever said being religious makes you a good person. And being an atheist doesn’t make you logical, intelligent, selfless, enlightened, or superior, It DOES, however, make “you people” hypocrites. Just the nature of the BEAST I suppose.

• Universal Health Care If Health care is fundamentally good, why not have it everywhere it is needed?
• High taxes- How high is high, the amount that Americans spend on candy, liquor, pornography, tobacco products, political campaigns
• Radical Islam – but radical Christianity is OK?
• Those who won’t speak out against or act against evil – As defined by who? You? Then please define.
